Does anyone know how i can extract files from my ipod into my computer?
PFloyd1989 asked:
My computer just randomly deleted all my itunes’ files so all my music is stored on my ipod, the problem with that is my ipod has crashed once before and i had to reset it to factory settings and if that would happen again i just lost over 1000 songs. If there is anyone who can tell me how to get them back i would be very grateful

I have the perfect (not to mention free!) solution. Go to It is a program that someone wrote and all you have to do is plug in your ipod and run the program. You don’t need to install anything, just plug and play. After you open it up, there should be a option in one of the menus to extract songs. If not, go to the help and search it there. I’ve used it before for the exact same purpose you are looking for it and it worked great! Hope this helps!

View hidden folders and youll see music and copy each subfolder to your computer, good luck!

You can use iDUMP, a software that allows you to transfer your songs of your iPod to a PC. Connect your iPod and run iDump and you’ll have access to all your songs, select the songs you want to transfer then pick a destination directory and how you would like your songs to be named. And then sit back and transfer all the selected songs to the PC. After that you can already add them in your music library in iTunes. It is easy to use. =)
The good news is iDump is FREE! Here is the link where you can download the software.
